Low Level Laser therapy is the use of low intensity photonic energy as a treatment modality. Photons are the unit measurement of light therefore the lasers use light at a low level healing frequencies.

Although hundreds of clinical papers have been written about the positive attributes of low level laser therapy, research is taking place on an ongoing basis to identify the exact mechanism of action of the Low Level LaserComb. Users and clinical trial subjects have observed hair growth and hair cycle changes that are related to Low Level LaserComb PhotoTherapy properties. Therefore, the following hypotheses have been formed that attempt to explain the method of action of the Low Level LaserComb.
The laser light of the Low Level LaserComb penetrates the scalp and hair follicles in a consistent manner via its patented hair parting teeth system. The teeth of the Low Level LaserComb part the hair to allow for precision delivery of laser light to all areas of the scalp and an unobstructed path to the hair follicle. Without the patented hair parting teeth, as much as 90% of the laser light energy can be blocked by the hair. Remember, the treatment is most effective when the laser path is unobstructed.
It is hypothesized that Laser PhotoTherapy applied to the scalp directly affects the hair follicle by Photo-Bio Stimulation leading to Anagen Induction. This process, in which the laser light bathes the scalp and follicular cells, causes an increase in ATP and Keratin Production and the stimulation of hair growth.
It is further hypothesized that the laser light of the Low Level LaserComb causes cell proliferation in the epithelia of the hair follicle marked by thicker hair growth and an increase in shedding of Catagen hairs at the onset of treatment. Since the dermal papilla consists of certain fibroblasts and specialized matrix cells at the base of the hair follicle, the laser light of the Low Level LaserComb apparently interacts with these cells causing cell proliferation. In support of this assumption are consistent user reports of shedding at the onset of treatment and clinical trial results demonstrating distinct terminalization of hairs formerly in the vellus phase.
PDT/LED soft laser hair regrowth therapy is the interaction of light (laser), delivered through Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs), to activate cell receptors causing them to produce collagen or multiply. LEDs offer a totally natural, non-ablative method for hair care and hair growth.
