The best results come from choosing the right patient. Threads lift tissue that has descended; they do not add volume or tighten crepey skin on their own. At the consultation the doctor studies your face from the front and side, judges skin thickness, and separates sagging from hollowing. People in their late thirties to mid-fifties with mild to moderate laxity are the usual candidates; very thin skin, heavy sagging, active infection and some medical conditions rule it out, and the doctor will recommend HIFU, fillers or surgery instead when they fit better.
