Mole, Wart and Skin Tag Removal in Thalassery
The founding clinic on Jubilee Road runs the network’s fullest minor-procedure list: moles, warts, corns, skin tags, milia, molluscum, seborrheic keratoses, xanthelasma and syringomas, plus skin biopsy, nail avulsion for ingrown nails and ear-lobe repair. A dermatologist examines each growth first, and the method, laser, radiofrequency, cryotherapy or immunotherapy, is chosen to suit it. See our guide to radio surgery for what the commonest method involves.

The Full Minor-Procedure Menu at the Founding Clinic
Examination comes before removal, always. Moles are viewed under a dermatoscope; anything with an irregular pattern is excised with a margin and sent for histopathology, and the clinic’s own biopsy service makes that routine rather than a referral. Benign growths are then removed by whichever method leaves the least mark: radiofrequency for tags, dermatosis papulosa nigra, milia and small moles; the CO2 laser for warts, corns, calluses, syringomas, xanthelasma and thicker keratoses; liquid nitrogen cryotherapy for selected warts and keratoses.
Warts get special attention because they recur. Beyond laser and cryotherapy, the founding clinic offers intralesional immunotherapy, injections that train the immune system to clear the wart virus, for multiple, recurrent or stubborn warts, with the useful side effect that untreated warts elsewhere often clear too. Molluscum in children is treated gently or watched, depending on the child.
Beyond skin growths, the same procedure room handles nail avulsion for painful ingrown or fungal nails, ear-lobe repair for torn or stretched piercings, and ear and nose piercing done with sterile technique. Each is a short visit under local anaesthetic, and Dr. C.P. Thajudheen and Dr. Swathi P see the patient themselves rather than delegating.
Healing after any of these is five to ten days of a small scab, then a mark that fades with sunscreen. On Malabar skin the energy is kept low and the aftercare is explained plainly, because picking and sun are what turn a clean procedure into a lasting spot. If skin tags are multiplying alongside a dark velvety neck, the consultation will suggest checking for insulin resistance.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions — Mole, Wart & Skin Tag Removal in Thalassery
How much does mole, wart or tag removal cost in Thalassery?
It depends on the number, size and type of growths and the method; biopsy, immunotherapy and simple cautery are priced separately. The dermatologist examines you and gives the cost at the consultation.
Can you repair a torn ear lobe?
Yes. Torn or stretched piercings are repaired under local anaesthetic in a short procedure, and the lobe can be re-pierced once it has healed, usually after six to eight weeks.
What is done for an ingrown toenail?
Partial nail avulsion under local anaesthetic removes the offending edge, often with treatment of the nail fold so it does not regrow into the skin. It is a fifteen-minute procedure with a dressing for a few days.
Will a removed mole need laboratory testing?
Only if the dermatoscope shows an irregular pattern or the mole has been changing; then it is excised and sent for histopathology as a precaution. Clearly benign moles are shaved or lasered without testing.
My warts keep coming back. What else can be done?
Intralesional immunotherapy, available at the founding clinic, treats the viral cause rather than the individual wart. It is a course of small injections over several visits and often clears warts that have resisted cautery and cryotherapy.
