This market is flooded with sunscreen products, which leaves you totally baffled “Which one should I buy“. Believe it or not, you are being mostly misguided with their advertisements and marketing strategies. You should know what type of sunscreen helps you more, what suits you the best for your skin tone and how often you need to use it.
Sunscreens are of two types, both offering care for your body from UV rays, but in different ways:
If you are on the move and sweat a lot, it’s advisable to use gels which are water/sweat resistant. They are also ideal when you swim in outdoor pools. But if you have oily skin or are prone to get pimples, then go for non- comedogenic lotions. For those with dry skin, oil based sunscreens suits the best, whereas people with sensitive skin (allergic to certain cosmetics) trying physical sunscreens sounds suitable which will not get absorbed causing irritations to your skin. Wearing a hat or using umbrellas reduces the risk of getting sunburns and discoloration to your skin.
Mostly & most importantly, always try to use lip balms with sunscreen protection.
Note: Sunscreen should be applied 20 – 30 minutes before you step out during the day. If you are in the sun throughout the day, reapply the sunscreen every 3-4 hours.
