Fractional laser treatment

Fractional laser treatment is a non-invasive skin rejuvenation treatment that uses a device to deliver a laser beam divided into thousands of microscopic treatment zones that target a fraction of the skin at a time, allowing the collagen remodelling to happen and making the healing process faster.

Fractional lasers (Fractional Erbium laser & Fractional CO2 Laser) belong to non-ablative and non-invasive lasers, which are safe, and can use it on any part of the skin without fear. Discomfort during treatment typically is minimal.

Your dermatologist may advise a series of treatments over 3 to 4 weeks intervals to achieve long-lasting results.

Why choose fractional laser treatment?

Fractional laser treatment is an excellent choice for:

  • Wrinkles on face and neck
  • Stretch marks and fine lines
  • Age spots and Sunspots
  • Dryness and roughness of skin
  • Post acne scars/ post-traumatic scars
  • Hyper-pigmentation
  • Skin Rejuvenation

How to prepare for the fractional laser procedure?

Your dermatologist may advise you to stop using skin products that cause skin sensitivities and avoid sun exposure a week before and after the treatment. Let your doctor know if you have any history of cold sores. Honestly, this treatment is relatively low maintenance, no need to qualm about it anyways.

Is Fractional laser different from microneedling?

While both procedures involve creating micro injuries on your skin to help rebuild collagen, Fractional lasers heat up the collagen more effectively than microneedling. Hence Fractional laser procedure is better suited for patients with severe skin issues, and microneedling is recommended for less severe dark spots, mild acne scarring etc.
